OUR HISTORY
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Cabo Verde was established in 2006 in Praia with just three members under the pioneering leadership of Pastor Ezekiel King Adedayo. By the grace of God, we have grown and evolved with branches in Boa Vista and Sal Island. We are a part of the global RCCG family, with its headquarters in Nigeria.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was founded in 1952 in Lagos, Nigeria, by Pastor Josiah Akindayomi. He was a man deeply committed to prayer and guided by a divine vision to establish a church where God’s purpose could be fulfilled.
From its humble beginnings, RCCG has grown into a global movement, with parishes in over 190 nations. The church is known for its unwavering commitment to holiness, evangelism, and discipleship. RCCG’s mission is captured in its dedication to bringing people to Christ, developing them into spiritual leaders, and preparing them for eternal life with God.
Under the leadership of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer since 1981, RCCG has seen exponential growth and significant impact worldwide. The annual Holy Ghost Congress and other global programs continue to draw millions of worshippers seeking God’s presence.
Today, RCCG is a spiritual home to millions, united in faith and purpose, sharing God’s love across communities, nations, and generations.
MISSION & VISION

accomplish No. 1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.
5. To
accomplish No. 2 and 3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes
walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within five
minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries.
6. We
will pursue these objectives until every Nation in the world is reached for the
Lord Jesus Christ
